Fitting InstructionsMust be mounted on metal surface, the resistor can reach temperatures of up to 170 Celsius. You may require up to 1 resistor per function on each side. The resistor should always be wired between the input wires of the lamp, Not the chassis of the vehicle or trailer! If fitted to the chassis, a bad earth connection is possible and can result in problems with the lighting system of the vehicle. Technical Drawings |
DESCRIPTION
The Dummy Load resistor is designed to be used on vehicles that have electronic components that are not LED compatible. The use of an optional load resistor simulates the current draw used by a standard direction indicator bulb and enables the flasher unit to operate correctly.
Important Notice:
Must be mounted on metal surfaces. The resistor can reach up to 170 deg C, do not mount the resistor on any surface that can melt by the heat of the resistor, this includes Plastics, Hoses or Painted Surfaces.
Correct Fitting:
Using the cable terminals supplied ensure that when the wires are connected they provide a completely waterproof connection to ensure safe operation of the vehicle. Make sure the load resistor is secured firmly by using the screws provided to an appropriate surface. If in doubt of the correct fitting procedure of this product please consult a qualified automotive electrician.

Fitting InstructionsFit into cutout (cutout 115mm round) using stick on gasket between lamp and fitting surface, run wires at back. Please refer to ADR 13/00 for mounting instructions.
